Charleston South Carolina, Swan Lake Iris Gardens Tour
April 18, 19, & 20, 2013

Charleston is our destination for two nights and it is considered the show place of the southeast. The homes, historic shrines, old Churches, lovely gardens, winding streets and intricate iron lace gateways that all lend to her charm and dignity. A tour of Magnolia Gardens, founded in 1870 is planned for our first afternoon. The following day we tour Fort Sumter National Monument and the afternoon will be spent at the Old Market Place shopping in downtown Charleston. We spend our next day enjoying the beauty of Swan Lake Iris Gardens. The lake is dotted with colorful islands and wildlife is abundant. Swans are gathered from all over the world, Australia, North and South America, Europe and Asia.

My Old Kentucky Dinner Train and Pioneer Dinner Theater
July 18 & 19, 2013

We travel to the second oldest town in Kentucky, Bardstown and board My Old Kentucky Train for a 2.5 hour ride through the Kentucky countryside in a restored 1940’s dining car. After some touring and shopping in Bardstown, we travel east to Danville Kentucky and visit Constitution Square with the evening being highlighted with a visit to Pioneer Playhouse, an outdoor dinner theater where we will enjoy the performance of “The Search for Tinker Doyle”. Our return trip home will be treated with a great lunch at Cumberland Falls State Park.

Christmas Time at Stone Mountain Georgia and Legacy Lodge at Lake Lanier
December 3 & 4, 2013

Our first day is spent in Stone Mountain Georgia marveling at the massive carving of Civil War figures where we will be touring the museum and a Summit Skyride! After some afternoon shopping at an Atlanta Shopping Mall for lunch we are on our way to Lake Lanier to spend the evening at the gorgeous Legacy Lodge at Lake Lanier. After dinner, please sit back and enjoy a six mile tour with seasonal music and then a little shopping at the Christmas Village to end this wonderful day!
